Christophe Racine Named New Head of Private Banking for Region Northern Switzerland

Credit Suisse has named Christophe Racine new Head of Private Banking for Region Northern Switzerland. He succeeds Christian Vonesch, who has been responsible for the region on an interim basis since May 2008.

Christophe Racine has been named Head of Private Banking for Region Northern Switzerland, and will take on his new role at Credit Suisse by
mid-2009 at the latest. In his new function Christophe Racine, together with his management team, will be responsible for reinforcing and strengthening the position of Private Banking as part of the integrated business model.

Christophe Racine is an accomplished banking expert with many years of extensive experience, most recently at UBS as Head of the Wealth Management for the canton of Aargau, and as Deputy Head of Institutional Clients in the Central Switzerland and Aargau regions. He previously held various specialist functions at Credit Suisse Group for six years. Christophe Racine is a Swiss certified banker, Swiss certified expert in finance and investment (AZEK), and a graduate of the Executive Program of the Swiss Finance Institute.

Until Christophe Racine’s appointment comes into effect, Christian Vonesch will continue to manage Region Northern Switzerland, which he has been doing on an interim basis since May 2008 in addition to his responsibility as Head of Private Banking Aarau.
