Barclays Wealth, the UK’s leading Wealth Manager, today announced the continued expansion of its financial planning division, with the appointment of Bruce Hendry, who will be based at the firm’s Aberdeen office also covering Tayside.
Hendry, a senior financial planner with over 15 years’ experience, joins Barclays Wealth from Blackadders where he was an Associate Director. Hendry’s appointment follows the recent expansion of the financial planning team in Edinburgh, and his role will involve advising clients in the north east of Scotland on all aspects of financial planning as part of the firm’s integrated wealth management service, which includes private banking and investment management.
The appointment is the latest in a series of additions made to Barclays Wealth’s offices to meet regional client demand, under the leadership of Scottish Director Mark Little. Recent key hires have included James Osborne and Cherie Hamoudi, who joined the Edinburgh investment team in August, and the ongoing recruitment of a supporting wealth management team in Aberdeen to build the Barclays Wealth brand in the north-east of Scotland.
Mark Little, Regional Director, Scotland & Northern Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Bruce Hendry to our growing financial planning team. In the past three months, we have recruited four new financial planners to develop this integral part of the business, and Bruce’s extensive experience will undoubtedly bolster our expertise in this area.
“We’re committed to ensuring our regional clients are able to access an industry leading wealth management service and are confident we’ll continue to attract people of Bruce’s calibre as we progress with our growth plans in Scotland.”
