Julius Baer appoints new management team in London

London/Zurich, 21 May 2008 —- Julius Baer today announced the appointment of a new management team at Julius Baer International Limited, London, an investment management firm catering to UK and international private clients. Daniel Gerber has
taken over as the new Chief Executive Officer of Julius Baer International Limited. He succeeds Juerg Berger, who has stepped down from this position in order to focus fully on his roles as Market Head UK and a Member of the Board of Directors of Julius Baer International Limited. In addition, Charlotte Vilén has been named Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Stuart Bates has joined the team as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Daniel Gerber was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Julius Baer International Limited in July 2007 after holding various corporate and client-facing management positions within the
Julius Baer Group. Before joining Julius Baer as Head of Fund Distribution in 1999, he worked as a Research Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston in Zurich and London. Daniel Gerber holds
an MSc from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich and is a Certified Financial Analyst (CEFA).

Charlotte Vilén joined Julius Baer International Limited in December 2001 as Director Marketing Europe. In February 2007, she was named Head Private Clients and Business Development.
Prior to joining Julius Baer, Charlotte Vilén spent five years at Credit Suisse Private Banking in London, where she was Head of Europe and Latin America. She holds a degree in Economic
and Political Science from Handelshojskolen in Copenhagen.

Stuart Bates has joined Julius Baer International Limited from Credit Suisse in London, where he was Head of Business Control. He previously held various positions at Credit Suisse First Boston, Private Client Services in London, including that of Business Manager. Stuart Bates holds a Bachelor of International Business from the Florida International University in Miami.
